Rock and Mineral Gallery (811 specimens): Samples of magmatic, sedimentary and metamorphic rocks are systematically displayed in separate glass cases according to their origins of formation. Various samples of rock and minerals (marble, perlite, varieties of coal, oil products, radioactive minerals and various gems) are displayed according to their value and usage in everyday life. In addition, giant quartz crystals, crystallised to extraordinary dimensions, found only rarely in nature, constitute the Museum’s most fascinating samples. The section in which processed and natural samples of certain minerals and rocks known as semi precious decorative gems, are displayed side by side, constitutes one of the gallery’s colourful corners
